The Dochas Fund is a Scottish charity founded in 1998 by John and Catherine Paterson of Argyll to raise money for care and research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS).

John was an artist and psychiatric nurse who suffered from both CIDP, a rare strain of GBS, and MND - two devastating neurological conditions that rarely appear together. Before his death in 1998 he asked that his art be used to help others.

The Dochas Fund is a Scottish Charity raising money to help people affected by MND (Motor Neurone Disease) or GBS (Guillain-Barre Syndrome) by the sale of prints and cards of the late John Paterson's artwork.
