Welcome to Dochas Carers Centre

  • Do you look after a relative, partner or friend who needs support because of age, physical or learning disability or illness including mental ill health?
  • Who is a Carer? A carer is a family member, partner, relative or friend supporting someone who needs help to manage a long-term condition, disability, physical or mental health problem or addiction.

Dochas Carers Centre is an independent charity. We help and support unpaid carers by providing information and guidance which can make life better. There are many carers who live many miles from services and access can prove difficult or impossible. We have dedicated Support Workers who provide support to carers throughout Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands.

You can call in person, phone us, request a home visit or make an appointment to speak with one of our staff during the opening hours of the centre.

Leave a Legacy

Add your product description that will be useful for your customers. Add the exclusive properties of your product that will make customers want to buy it. Write your own text and style it in Store properties on Style tab.

Many people choose to support causes they care about through donations during their lifetime, but leaving a gift in your will can make a lasting difference for future generations of unpaid carers.

Whether you are making a will for the first time or updating an existing one, leaving a legacy to Dòchas Carers Centre is straightforward. Your gift, no matter the size, will help us continue providing information, support and opportunities for unpaid carers across Mid Argyll, Kintyre and the Islands.

There are three main ways to leave a legacy:

 - A share of your estate (residuary legacy)
 - A specific sum of money (pecuniary legacy)
 - A specific item

If you would like more information or an informal chat about leaving a gift in your will, please call 01546 600022 or email enquiries@dochas.scot.

We'd be happy to help.
