The gallery is a community resource that exhibits original and reproduction of the work of John Paterson the Dochas Fund’s founder. Exhibitions by other local groups and artists are held throughout the year.
Carers’ Centre
The Carers’ Centre offers guidance, information and support to carers in Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Isles. All our services are free. The gallery is a venue for carers to meet together for mutual support and for fun.
Outreach
There are many carers who live many miles from services and access can prove difficult or impossible. The Dochas Centre has dedicated Outreach Workers who provide support to carers throughout Mid Argyll, Kintyre and Isles.

Counselling
The counselling service is for people and their families who are living with long term or terminal illness or bereavement. The centre also provides a listening ear for people who do not need formal counselling.

COVID-19 VACCINATIONS FOR UNPAID CARERS IN SCOTLAND
- Unpaid carers under the age of 65 will be prioritised for the vaccine alongside those with underlying health conditions.
- Unpaid carers aged 65 and above will be able to access the vaccine earlier under the age based groupings.
- Timescales will become clearer as more is know when supplies will be delivered.
- Scottish Government will write out to carers to inform you of your eligibility for the vaccine.

Dochas is looking to recruit a number of temporary volunteer telephone befrienders to provide a friendly telephone call to those in need. Suitable applicants will need to have a good listening ability and will need to be checked by Disclosure Scotland. We’d really like to hear from you.
